overview

After years of building a global cannabis community in Israel by having co-founded iCAN Israel-Cannabis and bringing to the world a global cannabis summit – CannaTech, Clifton Flack realised that he need to do more to bring to the world his knowledge and expertise.

Clifton founded CiiTECH to research and develop CBD further and build a house of brands. He saw a huge opportunity in his home country, the UK – where an unregulated CBD industry had begun to explode. And this led to the launch of the first CiiTECH brand, Provacan.

what we do

CiiTECH launched its flagship brand Provacan in the UK in 2017. With much of the success of Provacan it was clear that there was a massive need for CBD brands and products and so 2 new CiiTECH brands were born. IMPACT sports was launched with 2 pro-athletes to build a range of CBD products for the fitness and wellness space. And HUGG brought focus to self-care and beauty with a mission of empowering today’s millennials through a range of products to support their well being in an ever changing, vast environment.

The brands are working closely with the cannabis community, regulating bodies, thought leaders, and its customers to continually bring to market and meet the demands of the general public.

LAWS

In October 2016, The UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) acknowledged by letter to a number of CBD sellers that there are significant health benefits associated with CBD. As a result they came to the conclusion that products containing Cannabidiol (CBD) will require a medical marketing license if being sold with a recommendation or claim of medical benefit.

CiiTECH has not been advised by the MHRA to not obtain a medical licence. We will focus on building CBD products that are marketed as a food supplement while complying with all existing and new rules set by the MHRA and FSA. From March 31, 2021 the FSA will be introducing regulations for the first time, which will have a considerable impact on the industry, with only companies who meet the criteria for the novel food application allowed to remain on the market after March 31, 2021.
